"The Start of a New Life"

Since that day, Cid took care of me. It was weird at first, since it's been a while without living with someone, but I got used to it. After a while, he said that he needed some help in his shop since I was living in his home. I didn't mind, I needed a way to thank him for everything anyways. I mainly stocked the shelves of potions and elixirs, ship parts and weapons, and anything else that came in. It was fun learning about all the things that came in.
After a year of that, something strange happened. Lunch time cane around, so I went to get some Ramen from the nearest noodle shop. I ordered my usual, pork noodle with added shrimp, when a man I’ve never seen before sat by me. He ordered some sake and the soup of the day. He looked over to me for a moment, pulled out a coin bag that seemed nothing left could fit in it, and threw it at the chef, who caught it in midair. He weighed it in his hand for a second and said "Sir, this is way too much for your meal." The man smiled a bit and said "Don't worry. Not all of it is for me." He pointed at me. "Let him order whatever he wants. It's on me." I stared at him for a moment and said "thank you", then looked over. "Another please."
As I downed my 3rd bowl, I decided to ask why he was so kind.

"So, I’ve never seen you around here before....."
"That's because I'm not from here."
"Then why show such kindness to someone you don't know?"
"Well, because it's always good to do good deeds, whether out of effort or out of pocket."
".......Who are you?"
"I'll tell you soon enough, but before that, may I ask where you got those gloves?"
I looked at my gloves for a moment. "Well my mom once said I got them from some king. She also said that I was special and had to leave them on."
"She was right. You are definitely special.
"What does that supposed to mean?"
"I mean that the reason you have those gloves on is because you have power unlike any I’ve seen before. You have the power to copy anything you touch. How specific your ability is, I don't know. Will you give me the honor of seeing?"

All of this seemed absurd, but my curiosity got the better of me, so I accepted. We went to Central Square. All of this was kind of exciting. When we got there, he turned around and held out his hand. A spark shot across his hand, then a blazing fire erupted.
"This is a fireball. I have summoned this to test my theory. Please take off a glove. I'm going to throw this at you. Catch it with your bare hand."
"Uh wouldn't that burn me?"
"If I'm right, you'll be unharmed."
This seemed way too dangerous, but my curiosity still out ranks it...... I hate it when that happens........ I took off my right glove. When he threw it, I threw my hand in front of my face. If I was gonna get burned, I'd still want people to recognize me. A few minutes passed and I moved my hands. No fireball. The guys face was in awe. I looked at my hand. No burns. I patted down my clothes and nothing was burned. The only difference about me was that I felt like I knew something. I held out my hand and a fire started. Startled, I started flailing my hand, trying to put it out.
"So I was right..... I never thought I'd actually see this power first hand. I guess it's time I tell you who I am. I am Master Eraqus, and I'd like to train you."
